House rules that keep it fun

  • A pass is allowed. Anyone can pass once per game, no questions asked. Games go better when nobody feels trapped.
  • Dares stay in the room. Nothing involving phones, messages to people outside the game, food someone might be allergic to, or leaving the house.
  • Spin, don't choose, if the same people always pick "truth". The wheel is exactly half and half.

Want to spin for something else, such as who goes next? Put the players' names on the main wheel with "Remove each winner" ticked.

Questions people ask

Are these truth or dare questions family friendly?

Yes. All built-in prompts are written for mixed ages: sleepovers, family game nights and classroom parties. Nothing embarrassing, dangerous or romantic. You can add your own prompts.

How does the wheel decide truth or dare?

The wheel has equal Truth and Dare slices, and the result is drawn with crypto.getRandomValues before it spins. Then a prompt is drawn from the matching deck. Drawn prompts are set aside until the deck runs out, so you won't get repeats in one game.

Can players choose instead of spinning?

Yes. Press "Truth" or "Dare" to draw a prompt directly.
